Midway Mushrooms is a local gourmet mushroom farm located right here in Sewanee. They produce a variety of mushrooms and provide local farmers markets and restaurants with their products. We've been able to develop a great relationship with the owners (who are also Sewanee Alums) Daniel, Pledger, and Adam.Â
After receiving a tour of the 3,200 sq foot facility and developing an understanding of the mushroom life cycle and production process, we got to work cleaning and consolidating bags of mushroom compost.
